These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of MotionRecipe (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
The Service
MotionRecipe lets you describe a motion in plain language and receive an After Effects expression, a live browser preview, application instructions, and tweak/remix controls, along with a browsable library of recipes.
Accounts & eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. You are responsible for your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Keep your login secure and notify us of any unauthorized use.
Subscriptions & billing
- Plans. The Service offers a Free tier and paid Pro and Premium tiers. Current prices, features, and generation limits are shown on our pricing page and at checkout.
- Billing & auto-renewal. Paid plans are billed in advance through Stripe on a recurring monthly or annual basis and automatically renew until cancelled.
- Cancellation. You can cancel anytime from the Stripe customer portal (the “Billing” link in the app). Your plan remains active through the end of the current billing period; it does not renew after that.
- Refunds. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable, including for partial billing periods or unused generations.
- Changes. We may change prices or plan features; changes apply to future billing periods.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service unlawfully or to infringe others’ rights.
- Attempt to bypass plan limits, gating, or security, or to access the Service in an automated/abusive way.
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or resell the Service or the recipe library except as expressly permitted.
- Submit content that is unlawful, harmful, or violates third-party rights.
Intellectual property & your content
- Your prompts. The prompts and tweak text you submit remain yours. You grant us a limited license to process them (including via our AI provider) to operate the Service.
- Generated expressions. You may use the After Effects expressions you generate or copy in your own creative projects, including commercial ones.
- Our materials. The Service, the website, the recipe library, and our branding are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you rights to resell or redistribute the library itself.
Third-party services
The Service relies on third parties (including Supabase, Stripe, Anthropic, Google, and Vercel). Your use of those features may also be subject to their terms. See our Privacy Policy for how data is shared.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that generated expressions will be error-free or fit for a particular purpose; always review output before using it in production.
MotionRecipe is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Adobe Inc. or Adobe After Effects. “After Effects” is a trademark of Adobe.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MotionRecipe will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the “Effective date” above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
